We Are Very Proud to Present Some of

the Art of The Alice E. McDermott Art Show

April -- May 2002

Although we were only able to bring you these notable art works, there were many more works that were all quite excellent. We found it quite difficult to select the art to be exhibited in this show as there were so many superior art pieces. Please keep on developing your artistic talents!

Please be patient as all this wonderful art loads to the page!

There were 137 entries in the Junior Division for Grades 8-9 and the Senior Division for Grades 10-12. Students submissions were in the following: Drawing; Painting; Computer Art; and Mixed Media. Students received approximately $1,500 in Awards.

The Alice E. McDermottArt Show is a community celebration of the fine arts, the individual accomplishments of the students, and an opportunity to learn more about the excellent quality of art education in this district's schools. Alice E. McDermott is a former artist and educator. Her family has provided this contribution in her memory in a way that directly benefits students with a interest and talent in the visual arts. This year there were three professionals from the art field that were the distinguished judges for the show. Hank Reese Program Director
