Title: KILLER AT LARGE Year: 2001 Medium: Photograph Size: 10" X 8" Comments: The dark fuzzy thing up on the leaves of this oak tree is a Gypsy Moth Catepillar. This insect brought into the US to be a inexpensive substitute for the silk worm. Well the little critters escaped from its importers and now we have the worst defoliation of our trees here in the Ramapo Mountains. This year, 2001 is supposed to be the worst yet, and one can view the trees on the mountains and see that most of the trees have lost their leaves. Some of these critters can grow to 3"happily devouring all leaves, before it turns into the Gypsy Moth. Then the cycle begins again next year...hopefully is a less virulent chapter. Regular Price: $50-- Value Price: $45 |

This goose never seen before was herding the Canadian Grey geese around. We will never know what the kiddies looked like as they grew bigger. Regular Price: $50-- Value Price: $45 |

Title: HIGH WIRE ACT Year: 2001 Medium: Photograph Size: 10" X 8" Comments: With long bits of straw and hay, this little Black-Capped Chickadee built a stringy nest to raise the young. She darted quickly to and from the nest to avoid attention of predators. Regular Price: $50-- Value Price: $45 |

Title: DOVE IN A DISH Year: 2000 Medium: Photograph Size: 10" X 8" Comments: It is very unusual to find a pair of doves nesting in a locale so close to human habitation. These birds are very timid and are very skitish around people. So when a dove set up her nest in a hanging basket dish under the eave of my home, I was very suprised and happy to view the coming of the little 'dovelets'. Regular Price: $50-- Value Price: $45 |

Title:
GOOSE FEEDING TIME |
|
The Black Crows seem to be the scavengers of the scraps that are left in poly bags for pickup on garbage day. They hang around yelling and squaking to each other and also it seems to shout insults at us for bothering them.
