About The Artist

"There is nothing I like to do more than painting." States Cuban born painter Lidaenis Macrina Ferro. All through my life, I have been able to do many creative things. She was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States in 1968. Although it was not until 1975 when she started to draw and paint while attending The Fashion Institute of Technology. She graduated in 1981 as a Fashion and General Illustrator. She then studied at the School of Visual Arts. Later she attended Marymount College where she received her Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts.

She has had 'solo' shows at Marymount College, The Ridgewood Art Institute, The Englewood Public Library, The Fort Lee Public Library. She is a member of The American Artist Professional League, The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and Audobon Artists.

The artist works in both watercolors, oils, and charcoals. She has also been awarded The Charles R. Adam Memorial Award at The Ridgewood Art Institute's 21st Regional Open Juried Show. The artist is continuing to accumulate awards and gain notoriety for her beautiful style in the world of fine art.

She is most interested in taking commissions, and will be willing to discuss topics concerning her artwork.
