Huairen Guo |
Huairen Guo is a native of China and lived in Beijing for many years. Currently he is residing in Tenafly and exhibiting his paintings throughout the US. His works hang in permanent collections in Washington, DC., Beijing and New York.
Mr. Guo notes, "Art should, first and foremost, be of truth and about truth, which refers not only to the realistic art language used in the painting, but also to the expression of the true feelings of the artist. I paint what I see and what I feel. My paintings, altogether, are a visual autobiography. I always try to achieve the supreme artistic expression though the vehicle of my paintbrush. The American modern Surrealist masters have made great contributions in this regard. I have been trying to integrate the insights and techniques of these masters in my artistic pursuits. I am exploring...I firmly believe that the unceasing pursuit and exploration will revitalize my memory and love for my old Beijing."
