Anat Klebanov

Artist's Statement

Anat Klebanov has over 18+ years of fine art and graphic design experience. Ms. Klebanov moved to the United States from Israel in the late 1980s and has traveled internationally all of her life. Firsthand exposure to the international art world, through her travels to Europe, Central and South American, the Caribbean, and the United states , has helped shaper her unique, innovative artistic style which she call "Modern Primitive". This style is portrayed in her Gouache paintings, serigraphs, fine-art prints, and wood sculptures and furniture.

In 1987, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Canadian Design College, Haifa, Israel. Additionally, she earned a computer graphics degree in 1989 from the New England School of Art and Design, Boston, Mass. and participated in sculpturing and art history classes at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. From 1993 - 1995, mastered the Silk Screen printing techniques at the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY.

Ms. Klebanov's art has been featured in one-woman shows by Ward Lawrence Gallery, New York, NY; Visual Outlines, Winnetka, IL; and the Tokonoma Gallery, Housatonic, Mass. Her work has also been presented in group exhibitions at the Emerging Collector Gallery, NY; The Principle Gallery, Alexandra , VA; Banaker Gallery, San Francisco, CA; Art By Crim, Clarksburg, WVA; The Morpeth Gallery, Hopewell, NJ; and Midday Gallery, Englewood, NJ. Ms. Klebanov's wok has been purchased by both, private collectors and large corporations, including AT&T , Johnson & Johnson, and others.

Currently, Ms. Klebanov operates from her studio in Ridgewood, NJ. Her work is published by her company, Anat Klebanov -Fine Art, and is sold throughout the US, Europe, Japan, Australia., and Israel. Her art work is represented by many of the galleries noted above, as well as the Meyzag Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel and Suitable for Framing, Richmond, VA.
