WORDS FROM THE ARTIST

I am pleased to have the opportunity to show my work at the JCC on the Palisades. This is my fourth exhibit in 1999, and I am happy to present my creations to art lovers. I have always been involved in artistic projects and my formal studies in photography at the Wizo Institute in Haifa solidified my ability to use photography as a medium for expressing myself through art.

I was excited to learn the technique of Polaroid Transfer, under the tutelage of Rachel Banai, which allowed me to deepen my work by combining the abstractions of drawing with the sometimes more realistic imagery of photography. The goal in my work is to take everyday objects or scenes and to breathe creative life into them, while allowing the viewer enough space to bring his own interpretation to the work.
