ABOUT THE ARTIST AND HIS WORK

Born October 2, 1936 in Russia. In 1955 graduated from The St. Petersburg (Leningrad) School of Arts at The Academy of Arts. 1961 graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture - a historic center for art education founded by The Empress Katerina The Great more than 250 years ago, and it has been closely connected to the French Ecol des Beaux Arts in Paris. He has been living and working in Toronto, Canada since 1975. His works have been exhibited around the world since 1965. In 2001 he was admitted as Honorary Member to The Order of Alexander The Great an international organization which honors life-long cultural accomplishments.

Departure from the Soviet Union in 1972 has given the artist the freedom to paint...in any style he choose to.Through his works there is an attitude toward color and light that combines traditions of impressionism with various surrealistic situations. Fascination with 'The Black Hole Theory of The Origin of The World' is also reflected in many paintings in the form of "Singularity", through which Time passes, connecting The Past wit The Future. His love for architecture can be seen in many of his works. He now works in a new style: Romantic Expressionism. The Art Revolution begun in the twentieth century and Modern Art has come to an end. It is now to figurative Art forms with unlimited possibilities. Manifest 1: Back to Light - Shadow, Time - Space! Back to The Past and The Future! Back to The Art Energy of Universe!
